Positively Allegan and The City of Allegan Use MCACA Grant Money to Purchase Sound Equipment

Positively Allegan is ready to turn the volume up to "11" this summer with $11,937.92 in brand new sound equipment purchased in the fall of 2017.

Thanks in part to grant money awarded by the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs in October of 2016, Positively Allegan will no longer have to burden the compounding cost of renting sound equipment for events like Bridgefest, July 3 Jubilee, the Labor Day Bridge Walk, and the new, weekly summer concert series, Rollin' on the River. The City of Allegan's Promotions Coordinator, Parker Johnson, was able to meet with several performers and sound technicians in assembling the type and quantity of sound equipment needed to provide the best quality sound for live performances held on the beautiful Riverfront Stage.

The full list of equipment includes:

- 2 JBL 18" 2000W dual PA subwoofers

- 2 JBL 15" 1500W 3-way PRX series speakers

- 1 Behringer 32 channel 16-bus digital mixer

- 1 32x8 200' Roadmaster Snake

- 5 Vocal microphones

- 5 On-stage mic stands

- 20 15' XLRF-XLRM cables

Positively Allegan and the City of Allegan are thankful for the efforts put forth by past staff members to secure this generous grant from the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, and are looking forward to a year of great sounding music and entertainment on the Riverfront!
