Just in time for fall, Ely Lake Campground is inviting everyone to take a walk. Whether you are walking, hiking, trail running, birding, or mushrooming, the trails in Ely Lake Campground have been re-conditioned and are ready to be used. The volunteers have spent all spring and summer tidying up the trails. The only thing needed now are people walking on the trails! Lap swim is a low impact way to stay in shape and can add something different to your workout. Do your own workout or our challenge workout. Offered M-Th 3 times per day and Fridays 2 times per day. *Please check out our calendar for PE/HS scheduling conflicts (i.e. swim meets). **Limited evening lanes available during the school year. Wednesdays, 10:30 AM | Carnegie Room Story Time is designed to promote literacy, language development and a love of books. Sessions include fun stories, songs, educational crafts and sensory activities designed to bring out the future reader in your child! For anyone ages 0-5, families welcome.
Compete against neighbors in a fun night of trivia. Each round of questions will cover a variety of topics. Teams of 4-6. Space is limited. Registration begins at 6 PM; quiz starts at 7 PM. Show your library card and earn an extra 10 points to add to your team’s score. Note: Change in start time.

A Free Dinner for Veterans at the American Legion Post 89 is served every Fourth (4th) Tuesday, of most months, 5:00PM to 7:00PM. The Public is invited to these dinners as well. Bring your family or a friend with you. Its a 3 course meal with the entrée, salad, desert and drinks too, coffee, tea, punch... No Alcohol and No Smoking, Plenty of Parking. Visit, talk with friends maybe play a card game but come join us for Dinner.
American Legion Post 89 Meetings are held at the Post, on the corner of Eastern Ave and Hooker Rd, on the First Tuesday of the Month from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. If you are a Legion member your presents and participation is welcome. If you are former military, Man or Woman, get your DD-214 and attend a meeting, you might just become a member. We need new participating members with fresh ideas.
